Tea time @ Humble Beginning Cafe, Jalan Telawi, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur

Humble Beginning recently opened their 1st physical store at Jalan Telawi, Bangsar (replaced the Florist shop beside Subway Bangsar which used to be one of the pick up point for online purchase). Finally, we can satisfy our cravings for crepe cakes without going all the way to Nadeja, Melaka. Plus, we get to try out all the humble beginning crepe cakes without buying the whole cake from their online store, quite convenient and affordable for us.  Humble Beginning has 18 different flavours of mille crepe cakes, however, only certain flavors are available daily. During our visit, only French Vanilla (signature flavor), Royal Milk Tea, Lemon Cream Cheese, Peach Passion, Swiss Chocolate Velvet, and Peanut Butter Blueberry Blizzard were available. Each slice only cost us RM9.90, quite reasonable for a crepe cake. x)

We are truly grateful and excited that Humble Beginning finally expanded their business by opening a physical store in KL!

The cakes, x),

Peanut Butter Blueberry Blizzard
great peanut butter flavor without having the whole layers spread with peanut butter

Swiss Chocolate Velvet
Chocolaty crepe cake with some mini chocolate bits
for those who love chocolate, should give it a try :)

Take away - Lemon Cheese Cream

We will be back for more mille crepe cakes!

Looking for a place to teatime? Or you're looking for a birthday cake for your friends or family? Maybe you should head out to the Hummingbirds Coffee Bar located in Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar Baru!!  They offer variety of cakes such as red velvet cake, rainbow cake, Signature hummingbird cake, durian cake (seasonal), Blueberry Tofu Cheese Cake, macaroons and etc. 3 days advance booking if you're planning to get a whole cake. We have tried their durian cake and the cake is filled with Durian between the 2 layers of sponge and the cake has a strong durian scent & taste (recommended for durian lovers)! Recently, we bought a whole cake for birthday celebration. We have chosen the rainbow cake since the design is unique. Taste of the rainbow cake was quite good and not too sweet even though it is made of sponge cake.

Brunch @ Antipodean Cafe, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur

If you're looking for big and great western breakfast, it's time for you to try out Antipodean Cafe located just beside la bodega Bangsar at Jalan Telawi, Bangsar. This restaurant was also shortlisted in best new restaurant of Time Out KL food award 2011. When we arrived at the cafe, the friendly waitress greeted and explained how to order at the cafe. At Antipodean, the menu is written on the wall and you will need to tell the waiters/waitresses what to wish to order. Their food are reasonably priced according to their portion, which is quite big.
