Lunch Buffet @ Suki-ya, Tokyo Street, Pavilion KL

Suki-ya is an all-you-can-eat sukiyaki restaurant that is located on the highest floor at Tokyo Street, right beside Daiso. It is a halal restaurant so they only serve chicken, lamb and beef slice. There is a Healthy bar for us to pick vegetables for our sukiyaki as well as udon and ramen. Before we start our sukiyaki, we were given a choice to choose our soup base which are the shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, and kimchi. From the start, the waiters will serve 2 servings of each meat slices and when it's finished, you can order for more from the waiters.

The sukiyaki pot. It is divided into 2 sides which allow us to choose 2 different soup to try. We chose the shabu-shabu soup base (right) and the sukiyaki soup base (left). The shabu-shabu soup base is a clear chicken soup where else the sukiyaki soup base has a sweet and sour taste.

The Healthy bar. It has assorted vegetables and at the side, there are eggs for the sukiyaki and salad dressings.

The meat slices. The slices are thin enough so that we can just 'swish swish' the meat in the boiling soup for it to cook.

The ice-cream bar. There are 2 types of flavour which are the chocolate and the japanese rice flavour. At the side are the toppings you could put into your ice-cream.

Overall, it was a great experience and the service and the quality of the food are satisfactory.

Lunch Buffet @ Gonbei San, Starhill Gallery, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur

Our 1st time visit to Gonbei San! If you want to compare, Gonbei San specialized on Japanese dishes, thus the sashimi, sushi, sukiyaki, udon, soba, tempura, mochi and etc are well-prepared. There are no other dishes like pasta or dim sum in other fusion buffet such as Jogoya/Tenji/Tao. All of them taste awesome like, one of my friend commented that the oyster is fresher than other buffet restaurant and we really liked the SukiYaki at Gonbei San because the soup is packed with flavor and not too salty or sweet. The usual price of Gonbei San buffet is RM88++, but we got a chance to try them at a cheaper price with Groupon at RM50 only.

Gonbei San has 4 main section - 1st is the Fry Food section (Tempura), 2nd is the Dessert Section (Mochi, Tarts, Cakes), 3rd - Sushi and Sashimi Section (Salads, Sushi, Sashimi, Udon, Sukiyaki, Soba, Chawanmushi, Oyster), 4th is the Teppanyaki Section (Prepared Food [Fried rice and etc], Teppanyaki Cod/Salmon/Unagi/Chicken)

Fresh Sashimi !!! They tasted real GOOD! =9
