Dinner @ Tokyo Kitchen, Coffee @ TiPsy Brew O' Coffee, Setiawalk, Puchong

Recently, there are lots of coffee shops and burger shops opened around Klang Valley. Today we went to Yam Cha at this coffee shop after dinner at Tokyo Kitchen which is also located at Setiawalk, they serve quite awesome and unique Japanese food too! We ordered quite a lot for 3 pax dinner at Tokyo Kitchen, the portion of the food was reasonable at that price.

Food we had at Tokyo Kitchen:-

Soma Dressing Salad with Assorted Sashimi @ RM24.80
The salmon and octopus sashimi are fresh, refreshing appetizer before having our main course

Long Salmon Sushi @ RM6.90
Extra long salmon on Japanese rice

Unakyu temaki @ RM9.80 & Mango Prawn Temaki @ RM7.80
Tokyo Kitchen has quite a lot of creations that include mango as their ingredient. It made the food tasted more refreshing and unique.

Chicken Karage and Assorted Tempura set @ RM28.80
Typical Japanese set like most Japanese restaurant. Comes with miso soup, chawanmushi, salad and tofu. The tempura tasted bit different than the usual ones, less flour and crunchier!

n
Tokyo Kitchen Special Roll @ RM24.80
Fried tiger prawn cucumber roll topped with unagi, mango, shrimp roe & peanut sauce
Recommended to try out this unique roll!

The bill came up to RM126 which is quite reasonable considering the number of dishes that we have ordered! Surely will drop by for another meal here, they have another branch at Sunway Giza if Puchong is far from your place. :) You could also check out their menu and pricing at this site - http://www.foodirector.com/restaurant/tokyo-kitchen-setiawalk

Cozy place to hangout for yamcha

Salted Caramel Dark Chocolate
A new addition in their menu, the cake was not too sweet and it's moist! Recommended to try even though the cake looks bit plain :O

Affogato with Forty Lick Ice Cream
Their affogato is topped with the famous Forty Lick Ice Cream, we had the salted caramel and milk choc peanut butter affogato, both blend well with the coffee! :)

Lunch @ Fong Lye Taiwanese Fusion Cuisine, The Gardens Midvalley, Kuala Lumpur

If there's a super long queue at Fong Lye Taiwan Restaurant, how about giving a try on the Fong Lye Taiwanese Fusion Cuisine which is located just next to it. Their menu are mostly served in the style of steamboat, shabu-shabu, grill and teppanyaki. During our visit, we tried the stone pot steamboat course meal for 2 pax which priced at RM98++. It consists of fresh prawns, fish fillet, clams, pork slices, variety of steamboat fish balls, appetizers, desserts and Oolong tea. The stone pot soup tasted a bit spicy (mild), for those who don't really prefer spicy soup, you should try their tomato soup instead! :)

Tea time @ Humble Beginning Cafe, Jalan Telawi, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur

Humble Beginning recently opened their 1st physical store at Jalan Telawi, Bangsar (replaced the Florist shop beside Subway Bangsar which used to be one of the pick up point for online purchase). Finally, we can satisfy our cravings for crepe cakes without going all the way to Nadeja, Melaka. Plus, we get to try out all the humble beginning crepe cakes without buying the whole cake from their online store, quite convenient and affordable for us.  Humble Beginning has 18 different flavours of mille crepe cakes, however, only certain flavors are available daily. During our visit, only French Vanilla (signature flavor), Royal Milk Tea, Lemon Cream Cheese, Peach Passion, Swiss Chocolate Velvet, and Peanut Butter Blueberry Blizzard were available. Each slice only cost us RM9.90, quite reasonable for a crepe cake. x)

We are truly grateful and excited that Humble Beginning finally expanded their business by opening a physical store in KL!

The cakes, x),

Peanut Butter Blueberry Blizzard
great peanut butter flavor without having the whole layers spread with peanut butter

Swiss Chocolate Velvet
Chocolaty crepe cake with some mini chocolate bits
for those who love chocolate, should give it a try :)

Take away - Lemon Cheese Cream

We will be back for more mille crepe cakes!
